McLaren Tag Turbo F1 Engine Block During the mid 1980's Team McLaren successfully dominated Grand Prix racing with the MP4 chassis running Porsche built Tag Turbo V6 engines. From 1984 to 1987 TAG powered McLarens, driven by Niki Lauda and Alain Prost, claimed 3 World Championships and 25 Grand Prix victories. This particular engine block has the McLaren Part No. TTE P01-33 and the certificate details that it was used as follows; 1984 USA GP - Niki Lauda DNF 1985 German GP - Alain Prost 2nd 1985 Belgian GP - Alain Prost 3rd 1985 San Marino GP - Alain Prost (won race but disqualified due to being underweight) 1986 British GP - Keke Rosberg DNF Representing very good value for money this rare F1 engine block would make a worthwhile addition to any F1 collection.
